Paper Slits Describe Phinakistoscope Works Disk Images Sequence

Front Describe how a phinakistoscope works.
Back A paper disk with slits & images in sequence is spun in front of a mirror. Looking through the slits at the reflected images, the small breaks in the paper act as a shutter, creating a series of distinct pictures. This plays off of the persistence of vision and creates a moving image.
