High Oxygen Carbon Ph Impulses Blood Low Dioxide

High blood oxygen, low carbon dioxide, or high pH levels lead to parasympathetic slowing of the heart rate via the medulla to normalize these conditions.

Favorable blood conditions (high O2, low CO2, high pH) trigger parasympathetic impulses to the SAN via the medulla, slowing the heart rate to restore normal levels.

Front High blood oxygen, low carbon dioxide, high pH level
Back Impulses send to medulla which sends impulses along parasympathetic neurones which secrete acetylcholine which binds to receptors on SAN

Heart rate decreases to return oxygen, carbon dioxide and pH to normal
