Resting State Neurone Membrane Positively Charged Compared Inside

A neuron's membrane is positively charged externally and negatively charged internally at rest due to ion distribution differences.

In its resting state, a neuron's membrane is positively charged on the outside and negatively charged on the inside due to an unequal distribution of ions.

Front Resting state of neurone
Back Outside of membrane positively charged compared to inside, more positive ions outside the cell than inside
