Succession questions are answered by identifying increased species diversity, pioneer species, environmental changes they cause, surviving and colonizing species, and whether a climax community is reached.
Front | How do you answer succession questions? (5) |
---|---|
Back | - overall increase in species diversity/richness - identify pioneer species, may be more than one - name change in environment caused by pioneers, Eg- more food for other species - allowing named species to survive and colonise - more effective competitor outcompetes pioneer species - is the climax community reached? |
