Patient's Identifying Current Orientation Tests Mental Status Checking

Back This tests mental status by checking a patient's memory and thinking ability. The most common ways to evaluate this in a patient is to test the patient's ability to remember:
1) Person - Remembering his or her name.
2) Place - Identifying the current location.
3) Time - Identifying the current year, month, and approximate date.
4) Event - Describing what happened (the MOI or NOI)
