Heart Para/Post Coronary Innervate Arteries Para/Pre Cell Bodies

Front Parasympathetic innervation of the heart
Back Structure: para/post neurons innervate myocardium near SA and AV nodes and coronary arteries

Pathway:
1. Para/pre cell bodies in brain
2. Para/pre axons leave brain via vagus nerve
3. Travel into cardiac (splanchnic) vagus branches
4. Travel into cardiopulmonary plexus
5. Synapse with para/post cell bodies in ganglia
6. Para/post axons innervate heart surface and coronary vessels

Function:
1. Decrease heart rate
2. Reduce force of contraction
3. Vasoconstrict coronary arteries
