Joint Vertebral Cervical Region Vertebrae Processes Column Structure

Front Vertebral Column: Cervical Region
Back Structure: 7 vertebrae (C1-7) form cervical curvature, including atlas (C1) and axis (C2). Vertebrae tend to have:
a) Small bodies
b) short tranverse processes with transverse foramina (for vertebral artery)
c) bifid spinous processes

Function:
1. Allow for movement of spinal column in that region
2. "Yes" joint (atlanto-occipital joint)
3. "No" joint (atlanto-axial joint)
