Left Valve Atrium Mitral Aorta Blood Ventricle Structure

Front Left ventricle
Back Structure: larger, muscular heart chamber located inferiorly on the left side, connected to the left atrium through the mitral valve and to the aorta through the aortic valve

Function:
1. receive oxygenated blood from the left atrium through the mitral valve during diastole
2. pump blood into the aorta during systole
