Cyclophilins are a family of prolylisomerases that affect protein folding and bind cyclosporine A to form a complex that associates with calcineurin, preventing its activation by calmodulin.
Cyclofilines zijn een familie van prolylisomerasen die eiwitvouwing beïnvloeden. Ze binden ook cyclosporine A en produceren een complex dat associeert met calcineurine, waardoor de activering ervan doorcalmoduline wordt voorkomen.
