Mycophenolate mofetil is a pro-drug used in cancer treatment that is metabolized to mycophenolate, an inhibitor of inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase, thereby impairing guanosine monophosphate and DNA synthesis.
Mycophenolaat mofetil is een pro-drug voor kankerbehandeling die wordt gemetaboliseerd tot mycophenolaat, een remmer van inosine monofosfaat dehydrogenase, waardoor de synthese van guanosinemonofosfaat en dus DNA wordt belemmerd.
