1) pinna/auricle - sound waves into EAC
2) external auditory canal - sound waves into eardrum
3) tympanic membrane - vibrates in phase with sound waves; Intensity-amplitude/frequency-period
4) ossicles - amplify vibrations eardrum into inner ear
5) Eustachian tube - equalizes pressure between middle ear & environment
