In some algae, gametes are so similar in appearance that they cannot be distinguished as male or female, and are thus called homogametes or isogametes.
In alcune alghe i due gameti sono così simili nell'aspetto che non è possibile classificarli come gameti maschili e femminili. Sono quindi chiamati omogameti (isogameti).
