Abiotic Cells Release Aba Plant Responses Stress  Stomatal

Plants regulate their stomata to manage water and temperature. ABA, released by leaves and roots under stress, causes stomatal closure to conserve water.

Les plantes régulent leurs stomates pour gérer l'eau et la température. L'ABA, libéré par les feuilles et les racines en cas de stress, provoque la fermeture des stomates pour conserver l'eau.

  • open/close stomata to cool/conserve water, leaf cells release ABA in response to abiotic stresses, causing stomal closing, also roots release ABA when low WP in soil (transpiration threatened) towards leaves (where it binds to receptors on guard cells to dec WP/turgor of cells, so stoma closes and less water lost
