Form Proteins Proteomics Aa Functional Mrna Study Sequencing

Front proteomics
Back
  • proteomics is study and AA sequencing of every protein, sequence of AA not always same as whats predicted by genome, so link between genotype and phenotype complex
  • mRNA ("pre mRNA") contains introns/exons, so introns removed aswell as some exons, then exons to be translated joined by spliceosomes to form functional mRNA, but splicosomes can join extrons in different ways to form different functional mRNA, which forms different proteins and different phenotypes
  • some proteins modified by other proteins after synthesised, so can be shortened/lengthened to form different protein
