This card describes lymph, its formation from tissue fluid, transport through the lymphatic system, the role of lymph nodes, and its eventual return to the bloodstream.

Tato karta popisuje lymfu, její tvorbu z tkáňové tekutiny, transport lymfatickým systémem, funkce lymfatických uzlin a její konečný návrat do krevního oběhu.

Front Lymph 3.1.2(d)
Back - 10% of fluid not returning drained into lymph (system of lymph capillaries), similar composition as plasma but less O2 and nutrients

- lymph caps join to form larger vessels, with valves present, fluid transported until lymph returns to blood

- along lymph vessels are lymph nodes (where lymphocytes build up to produces antibodies, passed into blood), nodes also intercept debris form lymph (digested by phagocytes)

- enlarged nodes sign of body fighting off pathogens
