Myofibrils Sarcomere Light Bands Present Region Dark Myosin

Front myofibrils bands, Z-line, sarcomere and H-zone
Back myofibrils have light bands (I-bands, present in region where actin/myosin not overlapping) and dark bands (A-bands, present in regions where thick myosin present, edges even darker as actin overlaps myosin)

Z-line found at centre of each light band, distance between adjacent Z-lines known as sarcomere (individual unit of myofibrils), H-zone is lighter region found in centre of each dark band where only myosin present, when contracted, sarcomeres shorten and H-zone dec
