Nitrification Oxidation Reaction Well Aerated Soils Nitrifying Bacteria Oxidise

Nitrification is an aerobic oxidation process in soil where nitrifying bacteria convert ammonium (NH4) into nitrites and then nitrates, which are highly soluble and the primary form of nitrogen entry into ecosystems.

Front nitrification
Back nitrification is oxidation reaction in well-aerated soils, nitrifying bacteria oxidise NH4 compunds into nitrites, nitrobacter oxidises nitrites into nitrates, which are highly soluble and so most N2 enters in this form
