Tissue Pathogens Redness Swelling Causing Vessels Inflammatory Response

Front inflammatory response 4.1.1(d) and (e)
Back - symptoms of inflammation are pain, heat, redness and swelling of tissue

- localised respnse to pathogens causing inflamation at site of wound, mast cells activated in damaged tissue and release chemicals;
 - histamines (make vessels dilate, causing heat and redness (inc temp), which prevents pathogens repro, also makes vessels more leaky so plasma forced out and now known as tissue fluid, which causes swelling or pain)
 - cytokines (attract WBC to site, which dispose of pathogens by phagocytosis)
