Proximal convoluted tubule - first coiled region of tubule after bowmans capsule, found in cortex and site of selective reabsorption
Loop of Henle - long loop of tubule, descending loop goes from cortex to medulla and back to cortex
Distal convoluted tubule - second coiled tubule in cortex where water-balance (walls permeable to ADH), pH and ion balance fine-tuned
collecting duct - urine passes down collecting duct through medulla to pelvis, water balance further fine-tuned as walls permeable to ADH
