Tubule Reabsorbed Active Transport Blood Conc Filtrate Proximal

In the proximal convoluted tubule, all glucose, amino acids, vitamins, and most NaCl and water are reabsorbed into the blood, with tubule cells featuring microvilli and numerous mitochondria to aid this process.

No túbulo contorcido proximal, todos os glicose, aminoácidos e vitaminas, e a maioria dos NaCl e água são reabsorvidos para o sangue, com as células do túbulo tendo microvilosidades e muitas mitocôndrias para facilitar o processo.

Front proximal convoluted tubule
Back
  • All glucose, AA, vitamins and hormones reabsorbed via active transport, most NaCl and water also reabsorbed (Na+ actively, H20 and Cl- passively) into blood down steep conc gradient, cells lining this tubule has adaptations; covered by microvilli, which inc SA for reabsorption and has lots of mito to provide ATP for active transport, so most filtrate now reabsorbed.
  • filtrate reaching loop of henle has same conc as tissue fluid surrounding tubules and as blood plasma
