Vagus nerve 3. Splanchnic nerves 4. Visceral plexuses 5. Wall of target organ 6. Synapse on para/post cell body Function: carries parasympathetic ("rest and digest") information from the brain or sacral spinal cord to the body walls of organs, where it is transmitted to the para/post neuron |
