Competitive inhibition occurs when an inhibitor is structurally and chemically similar to the substrate, binding to the active site. Its effects can be reduced by increasing substrate concentration.
La inhibición competitiva ocurre cuando un inhibidor es estructural y químicamente similar al sustrato, uniéndose al sitio activo. Sus efectos pueden reducirse aumentando la concentración de sustrato.
