Noncompetitive inhibition occurs when a molecule binds to an allosteric site, causing a conformational change to the active site. This alters the active site's specificity, and since the inhibitor is not in direct competition with the substrate, changing substrate levels is ineffective.
La inhibición no competitiva ocurre cuando una molécula se une a un sitio alostérico, provocando un cambio conformacional en el sitio activo. Esto altera la especificidad del sitio activo y, dado que el inhibidor no compite directamente con el sustrato, cambiar las concentraciones de sustrato es ineficaz.
