-Yerkes-Dodson law of social facilitation - presence of others, simple/complex task increases/decreases in performance
-deindividuation - presence of a large group causes a loss of individual identity
-antinormative behavior - behavior against the norm, caused by above
-social loafing - putting less effort in a group setting
-Bystander effect - likelihood of response is inversely related to number of people
-peers - equals within a social group
-peer pressure - social influenced placed on an individual by a group
-cognitive dissonance - two opposing thoughts simultaneously; get rid of 1 resolves
-Identity Shift Effect - conform to norms of group to avoid social rejection
-Solomon Asch's conformity - people agree with group despite evidence 1/3 of time
